There’s nothing quite like the feeling of your horse running to you—not because they have to, but because they want to.
But it wasn’t always that way for Bella.
When Bella first arrived, she was nearly impossible to catch. I’d walk into the paddock, and she’d walk away. I’d take a step closer, and she’d move even farther. Sound familiar?
I didn’t want to force her. I wanted a real connection—one built on trust, not pressure.
So instead of chasing or bribing, I tried something different.
We started doing simple, fun activities together. Nothing fancy. Just short, positive sessions that focused on curiosity, trust, and communication. Things we both enjoyed.
After just a few weeks, something amazing happened.
One day, I called her from across the field… and she came galloping toward me. ❤️
We hadn’t worked on “catching” at all—but the connection we’d built changed everything.
Now, she sees me and wants to be with me. That’s the kind of relationship I always hoped for.
It’s not about control. It’s about connection.
When your horse feels seen, heard, and safe, they choose to be with you. That’s the magic.
